The scale of change and investment proposed for East Float and Bidston Dock is transformational. They are the ‘catalyst’ neighbourhoods and will help shape change across Birkenhead. Ideas and proposals have been thought about in more detail to understand how they may be developed to attract potential investors and occupiers and support planning applications.

The East Float Masterplan shows ideas for how new homes, workspace, offices, cultural destinations, cafes and bars and a marina may be designed and delivered.

A planning application for the East Float is being submitted in December 2009. Ideas for Bidston Dock are being developed and consultation will take place in Spring 2010.
