A great deal of progress has been made since the launch of the Wirral Waters project in October 2006. The focus to date has been upon refreshing and expanding the Vision, partnership working with Wirral MBC, consultation with local communities and government agencies, and the development of the East Float Masterplan.

The submission of the East Float Planning Application and the supporting East Float Masterplan provide the platform to begin to deliver the Wirral Waters Vision and proposals.

Peel Holdings are working with property agents and government agencies to attract new occupiers and jobs to Inner Wirral. The submission of the planning application increases investor and occupier confidence. This will be further enhanced should the planning application be approved.

Peel Holdings are also working with public sector partners to set in place clear agreements and funding sources to deliver projects on the ground, together with training and employment opportunities. These discussions are ongoing as part of the planning application process.
