The Baseline Study was undertaken by the Wirral Waters Team following the launch of the ‘Initial Vision’ The Baseline Study was completed in July 2008 and endorsed by Wirral Council’s Cabinet, full details of which are available to download below.

This Baseline Study completed the second stage of the Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) and identifies the key challenges and opportunities in taking the Wirral Waters project forward.

The two key findings of the Baseline Study were:

1. the need to consider how Wirral Waters many contribute to the delivery of all aspects of the sustainable communities agenda in Inner Wirral
2. a clear ‘footprint’ within which clear ideas and proposals for the physical regeneration of landholdings beyond East Float and Bidston Dock needed to be considered and understood..
